Purpose
The purpose
of the Heroes of the faith program is to give young people a godly
example that they can look to, learn from, and follow.
Moses Group (Nursery - 3yr.)
In these classes we emphasize that God loves and cares for
them, just as He did for Moses when his mother placed him in an
ark to escape Pharaoh. That the children may learn to hope is
our goal. (Psalm 22:9)
Samuel Group (4,5 years; 1st,
2nd grade)
In these classes we emphasize the need to get ready for, to
listen for, and surrender to the call of God. We hope they will
follow the example of Samuel who heard God’s call at a young
age and surrendered to it.(I Samuel
3:10)
Daniel Group (3rd-6th grade)
In these classes personal holiness and separation from the
things of the world is emphasized. We desire the children to be
Daniels for their generation, who will take a stand for righteousness.(Daniel
1:8)
Elisha Group (Teens)
In these classes an emphasis will be placed on preparing to
serve God, that they may be able to take up the mantle of the
Elijahs, just as Elisha did.(II
Kings 2:13-14)
Elijah Group (Adult Bible Study)
In this age group we will emphasize faithfulness and godly
living. That like Elijah, they will be an example for the next
generation to follow and pass on the mantle to those who follow
in their footsteps. (II Timothy 2:2, I Kings 19:18-21) |
